Despite being the 'sane/rational scientist', his decision to go with the mutiny was so god damn illogical. Getaway's plan was so heavily flawed. What made Perceptor think that it would work at all?
They were gonna dump the Rod Squad on Necroworld? Couldn't the RS just go after them? The mutineers didn’t know that it would be blown up by the freaking Decepticons. The Necroworld isn't an ant hill. Rodimus and Megatron could've left and pursued them (on the freaking Rod Pod!)
Did Perceptor know about the deal with the Galactic Council? The mf council has a vendetta against cybertronians, and Rodimus's group personally. The Council was “betrayed” by Rodimus. Their word could’ve easily mean jackshit.
And finally: WHY. WOULD YOU. SERVE GETAWAY?
Getaway is a fucking traitor and manipulator. Maybe Perceptor could've rationalized Getaway betraying Megatron and Rodimus, but Getaway set up Tailgate to fucking die! Getaway was willing to manipulate and sacrifice a fellow crew member for a secret assassination attempt. How could that build any trust in the new leadership on the Lost Light?
Out of everyone I'm most angry at Perceptor, and that's including Getaway. Getaway is a shady jackass from the beginning and he did nothing to gain our trust, but Perceptor wasn't like that!
Perceptor’s betrayal hurt the most and I hope Brainstorm of all people point out what an idiot he was. Freaking Perceptor >:,(((.
