Like, I wouldn’t even be this upset if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve only been back to work for two months now after being off work for nine, a decision I was basically forced to make by my doctors.
In the time I’ve been back I’ve managed to make it all the way to the Board Interview for a 911 Dispatcher job, and am still going through the process, and which would also help me pay off all my bills if I got it because it’s basically a $10k/yr increase, as well as getting a call back for the Kroger pharmacy, which I had to turn down because it was only part time.
I’ve had to take off time because I had to go to tests for the dispatching job and so my income has been low and so I wasn’t able to get approved for the cheap apartment I applied for and now I’m not sure what to do because my dad would like me out by March.
Point is, I’m making an effort.
My sister, on the other hand... She’s been here just as long as I have and has only had two, count ‘em two, jobs. Neither of which lasted more than a month before she was fired or let go, because the second job was seasonal work. So in nine months she only had two jobs. She likes to say that she got a third job at a bar nearby but she’s been hired/fired three times in not even a month’s time because of a variety of reasons ( I understand the sick kids but she wouldn’t walk the seven minute walk to get there. Really?).
She doesn’t do anything but sit around the house, watching TV and eating food. When she goes to get her kids she doesn’t do anything to reign them besides smack them and yell at them. She doesn’t do anything, and yet somehow, someway, I’m the irresponsible one because I took days off to go to therapy because I was going to kill myself. I’m the irresponsible one because I take days off because I’m trying to get a better job so I can pay for all my medical bills.
We were both supposed to move out in April but that got moved to March because my sister forgot to move her clothes from the washer to the dryer. A stupid thing to get made and take away time and a stupid thing to punish the both of us for; especially considering that I move my clothes from the washer to the dryer to the laundry basket whenever my clothes are done. Yet now she’s convinced them to let her stay until May so my niece can finish out school, and yeah, cool, fine, finally she’s done good parenting, but I’m upset because she constantly hides behind her kids and her looks to get what she wants.
I keep my messes to myself.
Take care of myself and only ask for help when I need it.
Yet somehow, someway, I’m the problem child who needs to be continuously reminded as such.
