4. favourite dish specific for your country? oh now we are fecking talking. asian food is n°1 but french food slaps alright. in no specific order, here's a list of fecking good french dishes that y'all should try before dying

foie gras

salted butter

hachis parmentier

croque monsieur

tomate farcie

a lot of disgusting things like : museau, ris de veau, liver etc.

charcuterie (rillettes de porc, rillettes d’oie, pâté (de campagne, foie, aux pruneaux etc.), jambon blanc, jambon cru, viande de grison 

SAUCISSON

any type of meat that french people sometimes hunt (boar, pigeon, deer, pheasant etc.)

seafood in general (oysters, mussels, crabs, bulots, bigornots, spiders, langoustine, prawns etc.)

quiches (so many varieties)

 crêpes bretonnes

the winter trio dishes : raclette, fondue savoyarde, tartiflette/reblochonade

 the classics that no one eat but always mentions: blanquette de veau, boeuf bourguignon, snails, pot au feu, onion soup, frog

choucroute

cheese (all of them)

bread (all of them)

a lot of desserts (crème brûlée, tarte tatin, éclairs, tarte aux pommes, tarte aux abricots, paris brest, île flottante etc.)

soups 

different entrées: carottes râpée, macédoine, oeuf mimosa, chèvre chaud, pâté en croûte 

i know i’m missing so many more but every region in france has different speciliaties that are not specific to france i guess! bouillabaisse is in the south, fries in the north, choucroute in the east, crêpes in the west and winter dishes with a lot of cheese are central
