Hey guys I'm opening commissions to help me pay off my dog's emergency vet bill. She's doing well now, but has an appt at a new vet because her current one didn't want to see her. I'll put screenshots from my credit card statement from the vet below the cut.
I'm offering black and white portraits starting at $35 and color at $55 through ko-fi (a paypal invoice is also an option). There are add-ons for half body and additional characters if interested. My dog is turning 15 in August and is a diabetic. One and a half years ago she went into DKA and I spent over $7000 on her vet care. She's on expensive food and vetsulin. The emergency vet was afraid of her going into DKA again because her sugar was in the 400s on the 3rd when we first brought her in and was still in the 400s when we brought her in on the 4th for a recheck (they waived the exam fee for 24hrs thankfully). Her current vet didn't want to see her the Monday after she was checked at the hospital so I'm bringing her to a new vet Tuesday 7/14.
Thankfully her blood work was clear and she started eating the next morning. She did have ketones in her urine which is the worrying part. She needs to get another glucose curve to check her vetsulin dose which is why we're going to a new vet.
The $235 is the exam fee. The $711 is the blood work, urinalysis, fluids, and cerenia (anti-nausea). I'm not even trying to make enough to pay it off but just some to help out.
i get silent migraines when i'm super stressed (last bad one was when my dad died) and i just had one at work that had the usual bright zigzag colorful flashing lights but then also just took out my peripheral vision in my good eye and letmetellyou i was this 🤏 close to a panic attack
