Sorry but that one post got me so pissed off so let me be clear where I stand on the stupid "fandom freedom" discourse when applied to representation and people of color and other minorities (sans cis gay men)
"I shouldn't have to include anything I don't want to in my works!" -> this is true. But would you like to tell me why you don't want to include people of color and other marginalized people?
"Fanfiction is escapism!" -> why are people of color and other marginalized people not a part of your escapism?
"I write for fun, not for activism!" -> why are people of color and other marginalized people not "fun" to you?
It's not a matter of what you should and shouldn't be allowed to write. But if you want to use these defenses please think for one second about what you might be implying, and even moreso, why you feel that way. If you have a repeated pattern of excluding people of color and other marginalized people (minus cis gay men cus. Fandom.) I seriously want you to think of why that is.

Why does nobody laugh when I refer to hit Marvel Comic character Billy Kaplan as "Willy Faplan"? Perhaps I should explain the joke for you. "Willy", as used in a colloquial sense, refers to the organ known as the penis, also called the dick or the cock. "Faplan" is a pun on his surname, Kaplan, in which i replace the "K" with an "F". The humor is derived from the fact that to "fap" is to masturbate. I expected people to find this humorous, as humans tend to take enjoyment from both puns and jokes about dicks and masturbation ("jerking off", if you will). I am perplexed by the fact that these posts get a low amount of engagement from the userbase of tumblr dot com.
