Okay. Get this. There were never any twins. George just had an intense imaginary friend that he cared so much about that it was like a twin. Losing Fred was when basically just George 100% growing up because the war forced any childlike tendencies out of him forever.

okay so Fred Weasley loves the color yellow. always has and always will. it mostly stemmed from the fact that his whole family were Gryffindors, but he just thought the color yellow was SUCH a happy color. when Fred thinks of the color yellow he thinks of bright sunlight and sunflowers and laughter and bright things
he’s the worst dancer you will ever have the pleasure to meet but that does not stop him from dancing like an idiot whenever he can. when they were younger, he used to grab Ginny’s hand and dance around the Burrow with her, Ginny laughing till she collapses.
music? he’s into it. he discovered muggle music when he went to Hogwarts from some muggleborn peers but he didn’t listen to it often.
whenever he and George went into the village, he would go into a little used bookstore that was there. he would browse the shelves and see what books there were and always took out books that caught his eye. sometimes, if the plot seemed interesting, he would ask the store owner to hold it for him to buy later (when he was able to find some muggle money) some books he bought for Ginny, others for himself.
Hermione found out from Ginny that Fred likes to find books so she would lend Fred some of her old books for him to borrow (favorites included Matilda, Tale of Two Cities, and Lord of the Flies)
he adored Muggle movies. his father would bring home television sets and movies and figure out how to work them. with help from Hermione, he would get them up and running. although Fred made fun of him for these muggle interests, the movies absolutely fascinated him.
he was so so so protective of Ginny. I mean, all her brothers were, but for some reason, Fred was extra protective. of course, he was never overbearing, but he always kept her well being in mind. She was his favorite (next to George) and he was glad they had the same sense of humor.
he missed Percy fiercely when he went to the Ministry but he refused to admit it until George or Ginny did first.
when he finally had enough money, he bought his mother everything she would like. she did so much for him and he felt like she needed to know that.
his last thought before he died was “man, I really missed you, Percy”
