Thanks for asking friend!
3. What are your favorite genres to write? >>I love fantasy! That's always been my niche. I love being able to make my own rules, explore worldbuilding, characters, and magic! Dystopian has also been a lot of fun for me to write currently. I've been trying to explore the components of the genre and try something new.
4. Are there any "must have tropes" you like including? >>Lost princess, lol. I've found a lot of my projects have has something similar, if not a literal lost princess than a character with a secret past that is actually really important. I also love found family! I love working in those story lines and seeing how characters change and grow together.
6. Are their any books or authors that inspire you the most? >>Elizabeth Lim, I love her retellings and how she incorporates her culture into her stories. >>Marissa Meyer, I loved the Cinder books and the way she crafted the entire story. >>Brandon Sanderson, I love the way he crafts lore and magic systems. His plot twists and foreshadowing is phenomenal. I love rereading his books and picking up on things I missed the first time around. >>Sabaa Tahir, And Ember in the Ash is phenomenal. I loved that entire series and how Sabaa just continued upping the stakes. The character development of her characters is also so incredible. I love Helene. I haven't read Heir yet but can't wait!
19. Share a few sentences of your WIP! >>This is from my book that my url is based on:
He tried not to let his imagination grow too strong, but he didn’t think he’d like what he found if the princess had come this way.
Thunder still burbled overhead, but the lightning remained at bay. Nyall almost wished it would return if only to light his way in the gray afternoon light. With the force of the rain it was hard to see properly the direction he was going or where the path was he should be following.
The cloak he’d found was a bit big on him, but it kept him dry. He had the brief thought that when he found the princess she was going to be soaked to the bone, nigh close to hypothermia.
