The Stone Family
My headcanon for how the Stone family from Murder at Homecoming looks :) Jupiter and Perdita are both afro-latine and I wanted their looks to reflect that a little bit more. Plus Jupiter is trans so the young!Jupiter sprite in the book is just. inaccurate lol.

‘Despite my mixed feelings on how well the Perdita stuff was integrated into the story, I actually think MAH is better when we don't get to find out what happened to her. The reason MC tried to solve Gabbie's case is because they didn't want it to get the same treatment as Perdita's case. So the two kind of juxtapose each other, where Gabbie's case gets closure but Perdita's case does not. And I think that makes it a lot more nuanced because sometimes we don't always get closure for what happened to missing loved ones. Now I think MAH could use a sequel that's actually about Perdita's disappearance, but I wouldn't want it to reveal what really happened to her because that would just be a major disservice to that nuance. Rather, MC and friends try to solve the case, only to pretty much fail at getting closure. And then you get an ending where you choose what MC does going forward: Will they continue searching anyways in the hopes of eventually figuring it out, or will they let the case go and move on?’

‘Aight, Imma just say it. I didn't care for the Perdita story in MAH. PB just couldn't seem to decide whether or not they wanted that to be a minor detail or an important plot. Because they bring it up multiple times throughout the story, but the only time it's actually ever significant is when it helps MC get through to and connect with Donovan in Chapter 5(?). I like the idea they had in the ending where they never find what happened to Perdita because we're not always gonna find the answer to everything, but it was so irrelevant to the main plot that I just... didn't care? It just felt mostly distracting. Like, if you're gonna include so much focus on something like that, then commit to it.’
