“yeah?” eden isn’t sure why that should be so surprising to him — aside from maybe the fact he has made no suggestion of ever wanting company. this is just an idea she thrusts upon him and hopes maybe the element of surprise will win her favour… though, it can’t be said she’s thought about how to convince him beyond her feeble offerings. in the midst of her turning things over in her mind, he stops her train of thought with an answer that genuinely surprises her. “yes? yes!” doesn’t even bother trying to correct him about the fact no one listens to katy perry anymore, too busy flinging her arms around him in a hug he also probably doesn’t want. “alright. deal! will i still bring the snacks? and how much stuff should i pack? do you have any idea where you’re going next?”

the hug was quite the relief, the firm pressure of arms around her and the warmth that she felt coming off of santana was enough for her to know it was real. lula had worried about becoming delusional and seeing things that weren't there — good to know she hadn't reached that yet. "is anyone okay?" she had a feeling she knew the answer to that question, so went on, "i'm alive." which was enough right now. "yeah. i've been here... almost the whole time. are you?"
