Letter to an Ex
To my Ex,
My heart hath no beat, Like that of a drum. It hath no ryhthm, nor song, Tis comfortably numb.
Heart’s strings, Hands manipulated. And loving words, Tongue had mutilated.
Yet time heals wounds, And leaves only scar. A lesson learned, A memory I placed far.
And an old note, Tucked under bed, Left only guilt, From the words, I had read.
Years later, I finally say. That I am sorry, Forgive me, one day.
