OKAY BUT LIKE I need a triple treble angst fic where beca is freelance DJing not making much $$, Chloe is dancing in a show or something while trying to get into vet school, and Aubrey is an investment banker and one day she cracks and is like “i hate my fucking job and I only do it to keep your dumb asses fed”. Then fluff cause I’d die without fluff. I need to write that.

It wasn’t like Beca to see the TRAGEDY in things; she’d always seen herself as a dreamer in realistic proportions, someone who had stumbled into the best times of her life purely by coincidence. Aubrey had a point, though. With everything they’d been through together ( competitions, life, love, heartbreak, disappointment —- everything ), hadn’t one last shot at performing together been worth more than every other risk they’d faced?

Wasn’t it the right time to say goodbye?

Gaze downcast, Beca shuffled her feet, buried her hands in the folds of her oversized scarf. Don’t cry. DON’T. “ I’m going to miss this... like, aside from the hostage crisis thing. I mean, I’m going to LA tomorrow, finally, and ----- oh my god, who’s going to feed Amy...? ”

         There was NOTHING like a saccharine assault laced through a wide smile and gritted teeth; the same grimace Beca had found herself on the recieving end of on more than one occasion for a multitude of reasons that made her want to grin back, because while Aubrey and Chloe were as tightly bound as a complacent fish on a hook, sometimes, this was their thing.

           “ Oh my god! It’s not my fault if something crawled up your butt and died. Fish it out, dude! Walk it off. ”
