Ariel was sure she’d make a complete fool out of herself if she stood up and tried to join in. In most recent past, she had been so adventurous, not missing a chance to join in, but there was something about being out of place -- of not being truly like the people around her -- that kept her seated.
Seeing feet, the mermaid princess quickly pulled her own back beneath the chair and out of the way. Words were apologetic as she looked up to the stranger and offered him a quick smile, ❝ Sorry. I almost tripped you, didn’t I? ❞
