i crossed out romance because i usually write cinnabar in all their verses as being around 20 years old but i promise you they are no less bitter
PAST THAT THOUGH, honestly with these two i can see their relationship with beig really good or really bad - lapis doesn’t know how to interact with abrasive types, but if mordred approaches them the right way, they’d probably be willing to hang around her. i can see a sort of friendship forming not EASILY, but lapis gets attached to people quickly.
that being said, they’re reflexively snippy, and if they’re uncomfortable they’ll make it known. i don’t know if i could ever see them as enemies in the traditional sense - cinnabar in any verse can’t hate anyone no matter how harsh they may be, and they never actually insult with the intent to harm, but i can see them ruffling mordred’s feathers. i think with these two, since lapis doesn’t approach people easily, the ball might be in mordred’s court.
this feels a little silly to say but i’ll add it anyway - i do have a secondary fate verse i’m writing up wherein shinsha is a blood mage, though they have a tough time controlling their volatile magic circuits which means they just end up bleeding out of nowhere a lot. it might be interesting if they ended up as mordred’s master - they remember being a troubled and bitter teen, and would be able to relate to her and (try to) help her out in ways lapis philosophorum can’t. i mean they’re not the picture of a well adjusted adult but damn if they wouldn’t try :’)
