Modest Dancer having a makeover!

Fourth member of our Performance Crew! Modest Dancer comes up with new choreography which they want to perform as legend-grade rare Dawn bird! They move gracefully on the scene, but what lack of is a trustworthy partner that will help them reach the skies!

This was the very first take I did when working on Dancer. I wanted to use colors of Modest Dancer's palette and to make it resemble of some light creature, a butterfly or bird or something else.

Butterfly Fairy or something. I liked it but it felt like there was "too much" of detail or decos. Initially I tried to add a cape wings, or maybe a prop, but I think it would be too much if there were 3 capes among 4 spirits in Performance Crew.

I also thought of Elderbird, but it didnt look as outstanding as I'd like it to be, especially when compared to other spirits I already designed.

Nightbird! It didnt go beyond the doodles though. I surely wanted to give Dancer a hood that would suit as part of bird costume. Same with tail cosmetic!

I also tried out the peacock deisgn. I like the dress, but the hood seemed somehow "bald" even with that crest. Also I realized it looks familiar to one of early concept arts for Season of Performance and I wanted to come up with something new.

I went to say goodbye to the performance crew before i ascended/gilded stagehand. I'm gonna miss them all being blue </3
