The Fabulous Cockettes • Offset lithograph poster, 1972

Founded in 1969 by William R. Schademan (1945-1979), the Cockettes were a popular and successful San Francisco-based performance troupe. Their overall ecclectic vision augmented by elaborate costumes, music, imagination combined with hippie psychedelia had catapulted them to local stardom and they were considered the darlings of the Bay City counterculture. Their fame led to a New York tour in 1971.

Milch de la Máquina, a troupe of experimental performance artists, was created nearly a decade ago in Albuquerque to travel to the first Titwrench in Denver. We've developed new works and new techniques every year since then, performing a couple of times a year. Dozens of Albuquerque women have been a part of the troupe. This year, we are unbelievably lucky and so grateful to be heading to Titwrench Stockholm Festivalen 2018 to perform. Monsters all around.

This week I have been working with Monster Cirque members Dolly and Vicious.

I originally started working with Monster Cirque for their promo work, but this time it was a quick top up and to redo the line up to lovingly welcome Vicious to the group.

Exciting performance troupe made of dancers/ fire breathers/ circus acts/ and a bucket load of beautiful Alt-girls.
