DISTANCE OF THE MOON

With hindsight, I think I should have worked on the set or in visual effects as my style would have been better suited there. Over the Christmas holiday I created some conceptual pieces using imagery from the text. These could work as maquettes or they could be projected onto a screen. I like the idea of using a giant tunnel book on a stage and experimenting with lighting.

PERFORMANCE PROJECT: DISTANCE OF THE MOON

The aim of this project was to put on a stage performance, adapted from the text ‘The Distance of the Moon’ by Italo Calvino. We could choose what aspect of the performance we wanted to work in: script-writing, costume design, set design, visual effects, sound or documentary/promotion.
