All of my friends are doing special things with their careers and free times, and nobody is proud of themselves! Obviously, Twitter has something to do with this — everyone's always tweeting their shit, and you're like, oh shit why didn't I write this first? — and everyone's always doing Performative Sadness, and you're like, oh shit why didn't I brand my sadness in this manner first? — so I try not to read it anymore. It helps a little.
