Questions:

1. Favourite spring flower? (e.g Anemone nemorosa, Galanthus nivalis, Crocus)

Coltsfoot!! Or Tussilago, as we actually call them here in Sweden. You know, they’re the very first flowers to bloom up here, and is a sign that it’s finally proper spring. And they always pop up as soon as the snow recedes from the roadsides up to our house, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve brought the first ones home to mom as soon as they do. It’s a spring ritual of ours.

2. Favourite scent on scented candles/wax? 

I actually can’t stand scented candles. I’m very sensitive to perfume maybe even allergic, I haven’t bothered to find out.

3. If you drink tea, which sort of tea do you prefer? (black, white, red, green, herbal..?) 

It messes with my already feeble digestive system, but I’m such a sucker for black tea. I try to drink more rooibos though, but eeeughghg... It’s not the same.

4. Do you recycle?

I do!! Our landlord actually have a mandatory recycle program, and I wouldn’t have had much of a choice even if I wouldn’t have done so voluntarily.

5. Cinnamon buns or vanilla buns?

C I N N A M O N.

6. Do you like to bake?

I do! My sister and I are actually referred to as the “baking sisters” by my father’s side of the family, seeing how literally none of them can bake for shit. I don’t bake as much as I’d like to though, seeing how I don’t really have a proper kitchen.

7. Do you keep a journal?

I did, back in 2015, I think?? I did stick through with it the entire year, but it wasn’t as... Therapeutic? As I had hoped it would be?? It was mostly just me jotting down what I had done during the day, very dull and taking up time that I didn’t really have. And my tumblr serves as that therapeutic journal writing instead, working through tough situations, life choices and emotions.

8. What kind of book reader are you? E.g. do you read one at a time or read and change between multiple books at the same time?  

I want to say one book at a time, but it’s complicated?? Like, I’m usually not that kind of person that change between books maniacally, but I sort different books into different categories that I set off different times to read, and then I read them parallel to each other. It’s weird, I know, university has fucked me up. Like, I’m reading All for the game right now, which I read online, like I did with Captive Prince, and which I allow myself to read during the weekends. I’m also reading Adulting: How to become a grown-up 468 easy(ish) steps, which is non-fiction, and which I allow myself to read a few segments of every day. But then I’m also reading Finn Family Moomintroll, which is like, the main book, which I have taken from my too-big pile of books-to-read, and which I allow myself to read whenever I find the time to. Which is never.

9. Favourite tree?

In lower elementary school I wrote an assignment on the aspen, and I’ve been fond of it ever since. I also have a weak spot for willows. Like, my parents have a willow shrub back at home, but it’s taller than our house, so we refer to it as a tree.

10. Wild strawberries or raspberries?  

Wild strawberries.

11. Do you like ice skating?

I do! I grew up in the “hockey town”; we have the hockey arena, while the town-next-over have the football stadium, and then we have kind of an unofficial exchange program between us. People from my town play football for the town-next-over (as I did) while they play hockey for us. But seeing how I grew up with the hockey rink just downtown, I learnt to skate very young, and then we went to the rink to skate for PE every other week during elementary school. And it’s been some time now a few years even, but it’s fun, knowing that you can navigate a pair of knife-shoes.
