Babysitting the Nieces

not even two minutes in they already almost lose Ayla

aka Amethio babysits their 3 toddler nieces overnight and has a hard time (what did they expect, really?)

OK OK I FINALLY WROTE SOME STUFF ABOUT MY AMETHIO AND DOT SIBLINGS AU (technically AU's)

this has to be the most complicated thing I've ever came up with but its fine (prolly)

So I have ideas that follow canon (Dot and Amethio are siblings, but raised apart leading to the events of canon) and others that follow something like Dot and Amethio being raised together, putting Dot closer to the Explorers.

I'm naming the first category the PeridotAU and the second category ExplorerPeridotAU

First, here's the intersecting information for both AU's:

Dot is related to Amethio through Maria.

Dot was born shortly after Maria's death.

Crave is aware of Dot's, existence, relation to Amethio, and Maria's involvement

Dot's full name is Peridot. Her name was quickly shortened to "Dot" as a nickname and was used much more than her actual name, as well as Dot preferring the nickname, Peridot is rarely ever used anymore. Dot only lets their family use the name Peridot, including Amethio.

Ok so now here's some specific information about each AU

PeridotAU

Gibeon never finds out about Dot. All connection to Maria was severed by the time Dot was born.

At some point after the final battle in Rakua, Amethio finds his mother's research notes that noted Blanca's pregnancy with Dot. After going to Crave about what he found, Crave tells Amethio the truth.

Amethio goes to Dot about it, of course, Dot had no idea so they visit Blanca for answers.

ExplorerPeridotAU

Gibeon finds out about Dot and essentially forces Blanca into moving into the family's mansion where Amethio was in order to keep an eye on both of his heirs.

Blanca raises both Amethio and Dot along with the help of Hamber. Murdock is also in the kids lives still as well.

Gibeon attempts to regulate Dot's life much like he'd done with Amethio (fails horribly)

Dot would be more morally ambiguous much like Amethio

These are just some thoughts that I had about it, I'm working on a silly little PeridotAU comic I started in the car on our road trip yesterday :)
