⏳ 525-480 BCE? 👀
history as told by iman | accepting!
Oh! This was a time when Iman was at her most powerful; or at least it’s up there with some of her grandest moments. In 525 BCE she conquered Ancient Egypt, which was no simple task. Egypt would be the 4th ancient ‘super power’ of sorts, completing the series of conquests begun by Cyrus the Great. It was actually a rather emotional moment for Iman, since believe it or not, there was once a time when she didn’t believe in herself at all. However, Cyrus molded her into the fierce and proud warrior and she had become, and Iman would be lying if she said that finishing what he started wasn’t incredibly bittersweet. Around this time though, Iman was a braggart and overconfident, with a tendency to boast about how she’d essentially conquered most of the known ancient world by that point (with a few exceptions of course, such as failing to conquer Carthage). Everyone knew who she was, and many were terrified of her. She took much pleasure in that fact, and it definitely boosted her already large ego. As far as age and maturity go, she was physically a teenager around that time. With the amount of victories she’d accumulated with no one around to humble her, she took herself a little bit too seriously. Still, it was hard to blame her for being cocky, as she was certainly a force to be reckoned with during the Achaemenid era. Not many hit their prime as a 12 year old, but Iman sort of did. She was confident and strong, and got the job done. Granted, ruling over Egypt happened to be more troublesome than Iman anticipated, but that’s another story. :)
