Julian Imagine for Wendy (perksofbeingawillflower):
It's Christmas Eve and for once it looks like it's going to be a cold Christmas. You were in your room when your mum suddenly called out for you from the kitchen. You groaned and yelled back that you didn't want to get up but you somehow ended up getting up anyway. You trudge into the kitchen and give your mum a tired look, but she ignores it.
"Wendy, can you run down to the store and get some more milk? We're almost out and I need more if you guys want to have pancakes for breakfast tomorrow moring." Your mum asks. You look out the window and frown. It's already dark out.
"Do I have to? It's dark already, like what if I get taken by somebody and you end up having to chase my kidnappers all around Europe in search of blood thirsty revenge?" You complain. Your mum just raises an eyebrow at you and points towards the door. You sigh and dragging yourself over to the front door; grabbing your jacket along the way. You stop at the door to yell back to your mum:
"If I get scouted to be a model and never return you only have yourself to blame!" You call out; slamming the door behind you afterwards. The second you step out into the night air a shiver runs through you. It must be only six degrees out tonight, and you can already see your breath escaping from your lips. You sigh and start walking down the street towards the corner where the 24hr Petrol station/On The Run is.
You walk in through the automatic doors and straight away see a bunch of guys from your school over by the fridges. You sigh and pull your hood over your head; praying that they won't recognise you. You sneak over and grab a carton of milk from the fridge and head straight to the check out.
"That's $3.49" the cashier says; giving you a blank stare. You reach into your pocket for your wallet but it's nowhere to be found. You panic and start patting yourself down; trying to search for it, but it's no use. You're about to apologise and put the milk back but a hand suddenly slams down on the counter with a twenty in it's grasp.
"Here, I got it." A guys voice says from behind you. You glance over your shoulder to see Julian; a guy from your PE class, smiling down at you. You consider saying no, but you've already seen how stubborn he is during class. You smile back.
"...ah, thanks. I'll pay you back at school." You mumble awkwardly. You've never actually had an actual conversation with him before, so you can't help but wonder why he's helping you.
"Don't worry about it, it's Christmas." Julian answers; sending an even brighter smile your way. You try not to blush and end up averting your eyes from him and back to the cashier. The guy just shrugs and puts Julian's money through. You grab your milk, mutter a quick thankyou, and turn to leave but Julian follows you out into the street. You sigh and turn back to face him:
"What is it?" You groan. You just want to go back home where it's warm and you don't have to socialise. It seems like Julian didn't expect you to notice he was following you, because when you turned around he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and blushed; averting his gaze from yours. He started stumbling on his words:
"I uh... I wanted to make sure you got home safe..." He mumbles. He brings his bright blue eyes back up from his feet to meet yours and you felt your heart start to beat harder. "...can I walk you home?" He asks softly. You don't even know why, but you don't want to say no. You nod and another dazzling smile comes back to his face. You start walking back home again, but this time Julian is walking beside you.
As you walk in a somehow not-awkward silence back down the street, the both of you marvel at the Christmas lights that people have decorated their houses with. The two of you pass one house in particular that is covered completely from chimney to letterbox in Christmas lights, and you both can't help but stop to admire the house. Suddenly an old woman stands up from where she'd been sitting on a chair on her front doorstep and you almost jump; having not noticed her there before. She greets the two of you with a warm smile and invites you forward to walk through the winding path that weaves through her different Christmas displays on the way to her front door. You and Julian can't help but smile back at her and walk through the gate to have a closer look at everything.
You feel Julian's hand take yours in his and you don't pull away, but instead squeeze his hand tightly in yours; welcoming the warmth. The lady meets the two of you halfway down the path and she smiles even wider at the two of you:
"I'm sorry, but you two just looked so adorable walking together, I just had to say something." She beams. You feel a slight blush rise to your cheeks and you're about to tell her that the two of you aren't dating but Julian squeezes your hand tighter in his.
"It's fine." Julian laughs. "We get that quite a lot actually." He teases. The lady smile's even wider, if that were possible, and nods at the two of you.
"I don't doubt it, you two look perfect together." She smiles. Okay, now you're definately blushing.
"Ah... um thankyou." You say softly. The lady again somehow manages to smile even wider.
"Well then, I don't want to keep the two of you here any longer, I hope you enjoy the rest of your night!" She beams. You smile back at her and a slightly cheeky smirk begins to play at her lips. "Ah, and don't forget to kiss under the mistletoe on your way out! It's bad luck if you don't!"
Your eyes widen, but you smile and nod just to be polite. The lady walks back to her seat on the porch and you and Julian take your time walking back through the lights towards the front gate. The two of you reach an archway that is practically made out of golden fairy lights. You go to walk through it and out into the street but Julian stops underneath it; causing his hand to tug at yours and pull you back. You turn back around to give him a confused look but he just smiles and looks up. You glance up as well and see the mistletoe that the lady had been talking about. He gives your hand another squeeze and your world suddenly seems to slow down.
You want to pull away but your body is frozen. Julian's eyes meet yours again and you bite your lip. He takes a step closer, and he's still smiling back at you, but this time there's something different about it. He takes another step closer and reaches a hand up to cup your cheek; once again the warmth radiating through you at the touch. He starts to draw closer and his eyes drift down to your lips. You can't breathe. You can feel his warm breath on your lips as he keeps drawing closer and before you can react; he closes his eyes and his lips are crashing onto yours. Sparks shoot through you the second that your lips meet, and there's nothing more that you want at that moment than to kiss him back.
You nudge your lips against his and squeeze his hand tighter and you feel him smile into the kiss. His hand slips out of yours and around your waist instead to pull you closer to him as he starts to kiss you with more confidence than before. Your hands find his chest and you cling to his shirt as your lips move passionately yet perfectly in sync with his. Eventually the two of you slowly pull apart and your eyes meet. He smile's back at you, and once again your heart starts to pound away inside your chest.
