Some Transparasocial Tips! (from a cisparasocial)

Don't try to contact the person directly! This is really important, as the point of a parasocial relationship is that it's one-sided. Commenting on a huge youtuber's video or sending DMs to a major celebrity would be fine, but constantly sending asks to a tumblr blog could make the relationship mutual and therefore not parasocial.

Follow ALL of their social media and any other coverage about them that might be out there (ie keep up with the news if they're someone who would appear on there).

Write that fanfic! I'm serious, write fanfic about you and them in whatever sort of relationship you imagine yourself to be in with them. It's a lot of fun and helps you think about your person more. Other outlets such as drawing are also fun, I'm just partial to writing.

Make a blog dedicated to them (or other social media account, could even be just an Ao3 account where you post all of your aforementioned fics.

Talk about them/how my you love them in your daily life (if possible and safe!). Gush to your friends about them, tell your family you have a new celebrity you really like, even just send anon asks to radqueer/transid confession accounts and talk about them! You can always keep it vague if you don't feel comfortable saying who they are directly.

Observe in the yume/selfship community! Gonna be honest, I lowkey hate the yumeship community, it's just a cesspool of antis and mental spiraling (as a yumeshipper I don't mean that as an insult, I just see so much spiraling in the yumeship community and it makes me sad). Their relationships with their f/o's can be very similar to someone's parasocial relationship. Some of them get married to their f/o, some make art, they even have followings dedicated to their self-insert ship! Learn from the masters.

Delusions! Delusions! More delusions! Parasocial relationships are built on the delusional belief that you are in a relationship with someone that doesn't know you. Create/induce delusional beliefs, and it will make the process a LOT easier
