I think you did okay, actually. Nothing you said could be construed as shrill, whiny, or rude. A little sarcastic maybe, but sarcastic fuckboys can reap what they sow. 9.5/10, a great performance. 

*note: not because i think being shrill, whiny, or rude is a bad thing you are totally allowed to do that but the yts dont like it and will write off anything you say if you do even though they shouldn't. so it wasn't that bad!

I feel about his music career the same way I felt about Leslie Grace circa her Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow cover. Good music, boring and at times replaceable artist.
