A Father's Worries | Perpetuallysound {Stahl IC}
Stahl went to Frederick's tent with many worries on his mind, most of which either stemmed from food but the most profound is he fears his child does not care whether he is alive or dead. Poking his head through the tent looking for his former teacher.
"Sir Frederick do you have a moment?"
Not even turning to his companion he spoke sternly and near commanding.
"What is it you need? I'm busy creating moral poster's of Chrom to inspire the rest of the troops."
Stahl immediately froze for a moment before he continued. "Sir have you have had any troubles with your child seeming like they want nothing to do with you or even want to acknowledge that you even exist?" Stahl's worries coming full through in his question.
Frederick looked at his younger, "I had such troubles in the beginning but you must remember, these children have been so damaged and hurt, it is very difficult for them to let us back in their hearts. They have all lost us once before and wish to never feel that pain again. Letting us in and caring for us opens the possiblity for those wounds to be torn open once again."
His words only scratched at Stahl's grief, it offered a reason to why Sano had been so cold up to this point but it offered no true aid to his own opening wounds.
"Thank you Sir, I'll try my best to keep that in mind for when I see him next..." He slowly exited the tent. Frederick was correct, he couldn't expect Sano to come to him with open arms and forget about all he and his sister had gone through up until this point.
