Everyone’s for sale, including me. One moment I’m the forgotten daughter of one of the most wealthy families in the country, and the next I’m the blushing bride in an arranged marriage. My fate is sealed in my wedded union with a complete stranger.
In public, Perry Constantine is the life of the party. Easygoing. Adored. In private, he’s brooding. Dark. Angry. But so am I. It’s a contest of wills to see who will break in the bedroom first, and while I try to remain strong, I find myself craving the very man I swore to hate.
A excerpt for you to read. A moment of panic for Charlotte when she thinks Perry didn't get her a ring. Yes, this is an arranged marriage, but they need all the props to make this look convincing, am I right? 💍
Can't have a wedding without a ring...
I glance down at my bare hands, shock coursing through me when I realize we’ve forgotten one of the most essential props in our marriage charade.
And I need this charade to work. To be convincing.
To get away from my old life so I can embark on a new one.
I don’t have an engagement ring. What’s the point of us taking photos if I’m not wearing a fat diamond on my ring finger?
I tear away from my mother and start running toward Perry, amazed at how fast I am despite the needle-thin four-inch heels on my feet. Urgency propels me forward, knowing we don’t have much time. Feeling as if everything will fall apart if we can’t correct this one tiny yet large issue.
Perry’s gaze connects with mine, and a huge grin spreads across his face. He holds his arms out. “Future wife!”
I roll my eyes, coming to a stop directly in front of him. Can he not be serious about anything? It’s as if his entire life is a mockery. “We forgot a very important detail.”
“Well, hello to you, too.”
I glare at him, not saying a word. He’s not a mind reader, I realize this, but I wish he could understand me without having to explain myself.
His smile fades the longer I say nothing and his brows draw close. “What exactly did we forget?”
“The ring. A ring. Any ring.”

The Reluctant Bride (Wedded Bliss Book #1) by Monica Murphy. This is an arranged marriage romance that did not disappoint. OMG I adored everything about this book. It was fast paced, full of sizzling chemistry with a major slow burn that will leave you swooning hard. I couldn’t put it down and read this in one sitting.
Perry Constantine and Charlotte Lancaster are about to find out that they have a staring role in a modern day nightmare, when they are informed that they are to marry one another. A power play to merge their two powerful families together.
Perry Constantine is his mother’s favorite son, always going along with whatever she wants until…his mother informs him that it was time for him to settle down, and she has found that special someone just for him. Say what! Surprise! That’s right a contract has already been signed for him to marry Charlotte Lancaster in six weeks!!
Charlotte Lancaster has been confined to the family home, for months since she returned from Paris. She has been neglected and hurt by her parents and is desperate to get away from her controlling father. But to marry someone she has never even met? Definitely not what she had planned.
This was just such a phenomenal read. These two might not have wanted this marriage in the beginning, but the interactions between them are sizzling. And Perry’s protectiveness and possessiveness toward Charlotte is just so heartwarming and hawt! These two are getting so much stronger and closer together and the ending had me ready to throw my kindle. I need the next one pronto! You definitely don’t want to pass this one up!
Received an early copy and this is my honest review.
