Task 1 - Connections
Heather Wheeler: David doesn’t like Heather, not like that at least. He thinks she’s alright. He likes that she’s smart and driven, that she isn’t afraid to say what everyone’s thinking. They’re friends and, if he lets her think that they might be more than that… well, no one needs to know.
Abel Hawker: Although he’s not sure when exactly it started, David is over at Mayor Hawker’s house every week, like clock work. Sometimes he’s mowing the lawn, others he’s fixing the fence. No matter what he’s doing, and whether or not he’s doing it well, Mayor Hawker doesn’t seem to mind David showing up and helping out.
Perry Esposito: It’s no surprise that David has a fake, or that he uses it. Many of his friends at the high school know that, some weekends, David will drive up to Lansing and sneak into bars there. He never invites any of them though. The reason being that the bars he goes to are usually gay bars. He doesn’t do much there, just dance and drink and revel in the fact that no one knows him. At least, that’s what he did before he came face to face with Perry one night. The two made eye contact and, before either could say anything, David had fled. He’s avoided the older man since then.
