Deep Affections || Persephone&Cerberus
Cerberus had told herself she wasn’t going to approach Persephone, that when she’d found her working at the flower shop she simply needed to observe and protect. Hades had to be the one to speak with her first because if anyone was going to jolt her back to her memories it would be him but the puppy was weak. Her run in with Heracles had reminded her of how much she missed the God’s presence however, her kindness helping her through the darkest portion of her existence until this curse had come. It was selfish, more selfish than she knew she should be, but all she wanted was to feel Persephone’s arms around her.
So she gave in.
The scent of various flowers overwhelmed the woman as she stepped inside, much more used to the various aftershaves of Hades men and the vape liquids that filled the club. This smelled like her though, floral and overwhelmingly comforting, and as luck would have it she was the only one in the store, perhaps because it was so early in the morning, most had not even risen, let alone had their morning coffee. Cerberus allowed her boots to carry her to the counter, dressed so contrastingly to how she had been with Heracles. The slim fitting dress she wore only for Narcissus, or Ambrose as he called himself now, was replaced with cargo pants and a tank top, covered by a leather jacket.
“Poppy?” she asked, picking up a business card from the counter. It didn’t have the same ring as Persephone but it suited.
