Probably a very controversial one but I just don't care about Cassandra Clare's writing. I tried the first 3 books of the mortal instrument series and they were so bad. Surprise incest is never a good plot??? People say she's improved since then but there are some things a girl just can't get past

i started reading her books when tmi#4 was already out so luckily i knew that they weren't actually siblings but i can see how that could turn someone away from her writing indefinitely 😅 she did improve tho but at this point i feel like the amount of books about the shadowhunters are super intimidating if someone wanted to start from the very beginning (plus i wouldnt recommend tmi to even those)
