SHOUTOUT TO PERSIMMON GROVE
(An open letter to the maker(s) of this site, to whom I would write a personal message if I could only figure out where and how. Listen to be for a moment. This site is great! For those of you unaware (I fully assume all of you) sims 1 custom content site, still up. This is how the main landing page looks like:
Beautiful. Clean. Suprisingly well aged, considering that the latest update was done in 2006. Hovering on the different fruits at the top, a cutaway is revealed. I find this paticularly delightful.
(unfortunately, while the contact page redirects to a new page with more infromation, there is no actual contact included - perhaps this was edited out sometime the site owner stopped making content or playing the sims 1?) Regardless, there are many, many beautiful items available. And yes, they follow the same menu logic. Here you can see the “outdoors” categories!
And look at this random but beautiful selection of images of the various items they’ve created! Also make note of them clearly labeling the download sizes of each item - something that was absolutely essential at the time, yet so overlooked nowadays.
These wicker items were basically essentials in my game for every single family but especially if I chose to play with Makin Magic!
Modder collaboration! Descriptions of gameplay items!
Aside from the beautiful items, the reason why I really wanted to share this site with you. The reason why I am making this post. The reason I am telling you about this one custom content site for a game that is nearly completely unplayed nowadays.
I repeat:
oh my god what a queen/king so good, so considerate this helps no one NOW but it was such a GREAT THING back in the day. Thank you, sir or madam, you are a great and I wish I had the ability to thank you for not only your artistic merit and the joy you added to my childhood but also your kind and wholesome nature.
