I went to visit my friend E in London at the weekend for her housewarming party. I was so so nervous about all the people that would be there, and I’ve never had a problem with the tube before but when I got on and it was really crowded I felt like I was going to have a panic attack. After a few stops though people got off and I sat down and felt a bit better. When it came to the party itself I was actually really pleased with how I did. I talked to lots of people and genuinely had fun. I got on really well with one of E’s friends as she’s just started a masters in neuroscience. She seemed really interested in my research and honestly I’ve never felt to knowledgeable in my life. It’s Monday morning now and I’m still feeling a bit dodgy from the alcohol, but overall had a really good weekend.
