Today I’m sad I’m a stay at home mom, not because I’m with the babe, but because I have no coworkers to gab about the Hughes trade with.

Aha, big ass thunderstorm just woke everybody, killed the power and broke a branch. Love my life.
Makes an account on hockeytwt specifically for hockey content
IMMEDIATELY GETS FOLLOWED BY A PORN BOT?!
I’m also excited to get into the PWHL the next coming season.
Confession time- I haven’t watched many PWHL games. I know they’re free to watch on YouTube, and I’ve slowly started dipping my toes in, but as a full time mom it has been HARD focusing on the teams I follow, much less the schedule of another league.
Hoping I can get more into next season when little man becomes more independent. With the league expanding I’m looking forward to women’s hockey blossoming. ❤️
How long have you been in to hockey. I just started my hockey journey on my birthday day April 19th so the myself right at the start of the playoffs. I can’t wait to see how regular hockey season is in September. The Olympics being all over my TikTok page (before you what happened) really peaked my interest and it grew from there. I’ve never really like sports before but I have enjoyed the few games I was able to watch. As a central Florida girl hockey is not really a Florida sport despite us having 2 teams. ( we only got two teams because northerners won’t stop moving to Florida) I chose Tampa bay lighting as my first team. Cause why would anyone root for south Florida. Quinn made me start with the wild and i stayed for Wally (learned that I have a weird thing for goalies) also love mats and was rewatch Wally laying on the ice last night and noticed mats got so angry he broke his stick you can see it fly behind Wally. Now my plan is to cheer for Carolina and who ever plays against the aves for the rest of the play offs. Fingers crossed that the finals don’t come down to avalanche vs Canadians cause then I wound have to root for Montreal. Do you have any tips on how to learn more about the sport? (Sorry for the long message)
Don’t ever apologize for ramblings. I could go on and on about this fuckass sport (affectionate).
Technically speaking I’ve been a fan of hockey since I was 12 (which makes me realize that was over 15 years ago and I am in fact ‘old’), but the TLDR of it all is I was bullied Frsh Year of high school for being a girl (in Texas) who loved hockey by some kid who also played. Because of this, I fell out of love with the sport for a long time, but I eventually found my way back slowly by supporting my local team there and when I moved to the Midwest. Fast forward to last season, and this cute little haunted Canuck had snuck his way onto my TikTok fyp. Hockey seemed to show back up right when I needed it most ❤️
I’ll admit that the Hughes brothers were the reason I started watching more professional hockey, and partially the reason I bandwagoned to the wild, but I gotta say I adore so many of the wild players. Zuccy, Moose, and Wally have stolen my heart very quickly. Seeing Wally lay on the ice after the game ended wrecked me, I had to stop watching after that. 😭
Regular season is a lot less.. intense but you find some hidden gems. I can’t wait to hear how you enjoy next season!
Also, as a side note, my closest teams for both my homes would’ve never been my first choice (Dallas and St. Louis respectively). Apparently I have a thing for teams who are either in a different time zone, or are a 6+ hour drive away.🥴
“Holly, what were you like in high school?” Pretty much the same fuckin’ person
