my 2016 in a nutshell

orange is the new black last episode messed me up and i cried nonstop for like a week i watched an excessive amount of bob ross and gordon ramsay because hey why not i skyped my good pal almost every night for 10+ hours i got a job!! and i still have it so hooray to me i finally felt more comfortable and confident expressing my sexuality i got a doggo and she's the sweetest thing in the world!! i love my baby i'm still dating my lovely boyfriend and that just great!! i finished stranger things and ahh!! it's so good!! i cried valentine's day was good my friends are awesome and helped me whenever i was upset or overwhelmed i made new friends!! i love them so basically this year was pretty darn great in the grand scheme, and it's not even over yet!!!

I really wish I had a normal talent, like being able to keep a job. Or finding work rather easy and not have to endlessly fill out apps for months to never hear anything back.

Instead I’m an artist and hardly sell a damn thing.

I keep telling myself that I do this because I like to draw/paint. Because if it was only for money I would quit all together. And I can’t let the world win like that.

I am pretty frustrated thou. Last time I vended I sold 4 prints. I made $50 which was enough to turn my phone back on. Most of the time when I go vending I never sell anything. Yet I have people tell me I’m so talented. I must be making tons of money, or have an awesome art job. I fuckin’ wish. Not even that I want a fuck ton of money.... just enough to be able to pay for things that I need and not worry all the time..... I had a normal job for awhile, but they closed down the club and when they reopened I didn’t get asked back. Since then I’ve been looking and no one will call back or if they do my phone was turned off due to being too poor to have it on, and when I call I get the run around..... So about normal for me.

I keep hoping things will start looking up and I find something so I can get my car running again. I almost had a good chunk of money saved up to fix it but then we lost our jobs (my bf and I worked at the same place) so all my money had to go for food and gas...... Right now I can’t dream about the future and what I want to have because I can’t afford to think that way. And I think that’s pretty sad.
