People on the original post were arguing that we are in our "man made bubbles" so, in fact, there is a separation between environments. I don't agree with this. We are part of the geology that makes up our world; a cyclical thing whereby we are made by something and return to it time after time. We have the man made things, but where do the man made things come from? That saying, "it didn't just come from thin air", well, yeah, technically it did. The particles in the air are (or can be) particles in the rock too.
