How to Update Your License After a Name Change

If your name changes due to marriage, divorce, or legal reasons, you must update your driver’s license. Bring your current license and supporting documents (e.g., marriage certificate, legal name change order) to your provincial licensing office.
A new card will be issued, and a fee may apply.
Update other IDs and insurance at the same time for consistency.
