Personal Playlist #3
Me, 16 years old, sitting in front of my own stereo system I dreamed of when I was a small child (Finally!!!). I had very specific dreams, though. Classic A&B’s album became the first CD ever listened on this set. I’m sentimental. Maybe that’s the reason why I remember such details.
“Tri-State” is one of my favourite album intros. I do love ambience of the strings, gentle keys melody and atmospheric traffic noise in background. Everything is beautiful about this track.
Another goosebumps song.
Personal Playlist #2
2012. I sit deep in my sofa, delighted by peaceful strings of Armin’s jubilee album “10 Years”. This was the moment I realised how much I pay attention to album openings. Already made plenty of them as, thanks to him, I became a music producer.
After I got to know him, trance became my passion and love. I desired being so perfect, like him. Like Armin van Buuren, Dutch DJ and producer. He played a big part in my music life.
Throughout 5 years of creating my own music, Armin’s was an example of perfection and source of inspiration. Electronic, I started to make in 2011, let me express feelings exactly when I needed to throw them away. I probably closed them in my own world - where there’s no boundaries and I’m free. I must admit that expressing emotions to people was too difficult for me at that time. Music helped a lot.
Thank you Armin, without you there wouldn’t be Second Life and Progression. Thank. You.
Personal Playlist #1
Five years old me sitting in uncle's flat, in front of the big stereo set (a kind I was always dreaming, as a child, to have one day). I take CD left on the shelf. The booklet shows big fat man with smile on his face, sunglasses and red shirt with "I’m #1 why try harder" caption. I put the CD into the player. I hear violins. I can feel dark atmosphere of the first track.
It was something weird for me, a child. Weird, but a kind of beautiful at the same time.
It was... my first musical experience I can remember? I found out who made the album about 8-10 years later - it was Fatboy Slim. Still have the same goosebumps while listening to that intro.
This Alina Baraz & Galimatias station has been so good! #personalplaylist #googleplayradio #stillgroovin
