Challenge Accepted || The Midnight Brawl || Persona Prom 2012
Everything had seemed to be going just as normally as they would have. Most everyone was dancing, food was being eaten, and so on. What this little brunette had practically forgotten was the small fact that everything could go wrong once it struck midnight.
She stopped in her tracks once seeing the team's leader upon the stage, warning everyone of a shadow outbreak. Oh, so they were coming to crash the party? How interesting.
They would be arriving soon, and honestly, Karin's blood was already pumping. She was ready for this, even if she was supposed to be in a relaxed area. She needed to protect everyone there, right? Even if most everyone was a Persona user. Regardless, that didn't change a thing in her mind.
Hearing a quaint shout from the other side of the room, that proved to her that they were here. They were coming. And they weren't going to go down so easily. Perfect.
Rushing to the distressed call, Karin knew she was smart to bring her evoker, strategically hidden under her skirt in it's normal holster. She always brought it in case of emergency, and this was emergency enough. She found her target, and headed after it. "Don't worry; I got this!"
She charged into battle, ready and willing.
She seemed to be facing four enemies; half of them ironically being those annoying double-teamed dancers with a fighting epee and a heart for a shared head. She despised those ones, always such issues to bring down. Regardless, she was ready, or at least she had quite a drive tonight.
Honestly, she didn't remember their weakness. Fuuka wasn't there to give her back up, unfortunately, so she didn't have time to search her thoughts for their weakness. Since they were the first enemies she laid eyes on, they were first to go down.
Grabbing at her evoker, she placed the barrel to her head with no issue at all, pulling the trigger as the blue energy flowed around her, quite actually matching her gown. "Acallaris! Have at them!" She gave the order, and with that, all enemies were hit with a bout of a gusty Magaru, not even taking a quarter of their health down. She wasn't sure how she could tell -- Acallaris automatically fed the information to her somehow. The brunette grimaced, knowing wind automatically wouldn't work like it's normal charm would. Perhaps these enemies weren't so nice against wind.
She couldn't gather her thoughts in time, and before she knew it, she was attacked herself, pierced by a double epee, followed by a bout of more attacks. They didn't hurt much, and hardly left any scratches. She wasn't going down.
"Bring 'em down!" She called forth her Persona yet again, this time building up her defense while she thought this through. How could she take down these dancers without many problems? Then, there were the other enemies, as well. It seemed that this was a group of Lovers Arcana enemies, and it was a wonder why Yukari wasn't there with her. Well, she remembered that her Garu attacks didn't do anything against the floating cupids behind the dancers, so it seemed that they were null against wind, which was fine with her. She could bring them down with physical attacks she could dish, though Acallaris couldn't do many. She, herself, could. The dancers, however, seemed to take limited damage. Perhaps, if she worked for it, that's how she could bring them down.
It was so much more difficult to have this done by herself. But, that was the way she liked it sometimes.
Upon her turn once again, she approached a cupid, knocking it down with a section of one of her recent formations done in MMA class; plenty of kicks and punches. She managed to make it a critical hit, to her pleasure. She hoped she would get the same for the next cupid, and she seemed to get her wish. Now, it was time for the dancers.
Summoning Acallaris once again, she tried Hama, in attempt to kill off one of them in one shot. She hoped, and hoped for it. For once, it actually succeeded. How great was that news! A triumphant smile appeared on her face and she gave it another go, hoping for the same result. However, Hama seemed to only work once in twenty times, so it missed the enemy. That was a bit of a downer. No all-out attack. Then again, not as though she could have one, what with it being a personal battle.
She gave the cupids another round of her martial arts expertise, and it seemed to be working for her. At least she was getting moderate damage. Another great Garu spell onto the dancer seemed to knock it down well enough. Her rounds went like this for quite awhile, perhaps a couple of healing spells thrown into herself. It was difficult fighting by herself...but, wow, what a thrill. This was what she lived for, and she loved it. Karin Igarashi was born a fighter.
Finally, she was left with one last Jealous Cupid. This would be done in another five minutes or less, and then she would be done with this enemy. She raised her attack, hoping for a better result. She decided to end it with what was going well for her; her own body taking over and allowing for her to do what she did best. A couple of roundhouse kicks, a few punches, and incredible moves of flexibility was laid upon the cupid that she planned to end. With utter success, she ended it's life. She was surprised her dress didn't constrict much.
Once finished, Karin did a celebratory high kick, and a small spin in success. "Hell yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about!" She had nearly completely forgotten about the entire dance, she was so enthralled with the fight. She turned to her leader, flashing a smile and a wink. "Everything's okay over here, Senpai! I got it!"
