Fish curry with tomatoes and potatoes is a classic in Bengali cooking. 🇧🇩🇮🇳 . . Just marinate your fish and potato pieces separately with turmeric, chilli and salt to taste. First lightly fry the fish until golden brown and set aside. Do the same with the potatoes and set aside. . . Sauté some onion and add a few cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, bay leaves, cumin seeds and salt to taste. When the onions start to go golden-brown, add in chopped tomatoes and mix well. Add a bit of water and add in the fish pieces. Let it cook for a while before adding in the potatoes. Simmer until ready. Serve with rice. Enjoy! 🍅🥔 . .
