Little #throwbackthursday action with little #minipup. Feels like eons ago since I made the trek back north in the RV with my sweet furry co-pilot. I was about a day and a half away from arriving home and I remember feeling both exhausted and exhilarated. I was on the verge of finishing something that'd been sitting like a heavy elephant on my back. One more door to close in order to step through another. I'm feeling that same sense of exhaustion mixed with anticipation in this moment. Opening new doors. Completing tasks that have been sitting heavy on my shoulders. The future seems clearer yet my path is still a bit undefined. But I know that each step forward will help define that vision. Meet my new 'vecinos'. On my nightly walk-about / dog-feeding adventure, I was feeding two shy mamas and thinking how we need to get them in to be fixed ASAP... and just as I finished putting that thought on my to-do list, I looked up and saw movement at the back of the property. Too late! 6 fur babies. After a chat with the owner of the two ladies the next day & a chat with Lalo (vet), we'll get mamas in to be sterilized once babies are weaned and on more solid food. The lady who owns them is relieved to get help as she's on her own. In the meantime, Aldo & I trying to create a more comfortable space for them, will take pups to vet to get dewormed, etc. and we hope to find them forever homes.
