What animal have you been the most excited to see in person?

“Oh, the gorillas!” Jane answered excitedly. “My dad was excited to be able to conduct some behavioral research on them, and when we finally found them, it was the most amazing thing I’d ever seen! They were huge, first of all - you know gorillas are big, but you just don’t know how big until you’re standing so close to one without any barriers in the way. It was also especially exciting because there was such buildup; we had spent the days before studying one of their nests and even some footprints we found, so finally getting to see them in person was just... have I said amazing yet? Because it was just amazing, I can’t think of a better word to describe it. I was barely a teenager, at that point, but it’s still the best experience I think I’ve ever had, in general. Really, it’s what made me want to study primates as much as I do - it’s so interesting how just one moment like that can really set the course of your life’s dreams.”

owen’s greatest regret is not taking longer at that pit stop. if he’d given his pit crew just seconds more, he wouldn’t have gotten in his accident. he rushed them, he didn’t allow them to get the tire on right and they tried to warn them. he didn’t listen, and when his tire blew and the car spun out, he knew he’d messed up, worse than he could’ve ever imagined.

eleven : biggest lie?

owen isn’t much of a liar. maybe back in the day he used to exaggerate some things to make himself seem cooler, but truth be told, he’s lived such a cool life he’s never really had to lie. his biggest lie is probably his relationship with jackson storm. under the public eye, he tries to treat the kid nicely, even though he can’t stand him when the cameras turn away.
