I remember playing the show in LA and a family that I work closely with, the Bunettas, Julian Bunetta who did all the 1D stuff and who I wrote Slow Hands with and On the Loose on this record, I'm good friends with him and his family, they're a big family in the music industry around America, and his dad [producer Peter Bunetta] called me after the show – or I called him and I said: what did you think? And he said: I cannot wait for your next record. And I said: so did you enjoy it or not? And he said: no, I don't care about that. He said: your voice on the next record, because you're doing so many shows and you're playing, he said: I just can't wait for your next record, it just seems to be getting stronger. And I thought that was the best compliment I've had all year – that he's excited about my next record, because he's heard me sing live, and I'm like: that's exactly what the whole aim is.
