I decided to do a small doodle of what Peter would look like if his powers weren't broken/malfunctioned and he looked like a proper Phoenix! The only real difference is his color palette and his tattoos would always be present.

Random 3am quick Peter doodle
I like, rarely ever doodle Peter when his Phoenix tattoos are present. There's two reasons. I'm constantly redesigning them and these tattoos are TE DI O U S. But I'm fairly happy with this version. It's all very doodle-y.
The tattoos “fade in” as his powers activate, eyes turn completely purple, hair turns black, and the tattoos also glow a deep purple. The tattoos on his back/side “peel off” and form wings that let him fly. It doesn’t always work.
I wanted a ref page of sorts to give myself (and others) a better idea on how to draw Peter and some standards I try to stick to, including his typical color palette. I’ll probably update it later to add some things as I think of it.
