Sightings – S2E20 – “Ghost Molester Update” – April 9th, 1993
“On a recent edition of Sightings, we sent our investigative team to Maryland to help a family plagued by what they believed to be a ghost. Though no apparition showed itself to our team, the family continues to be concerned by what they call ‘the Beast’.”
The show kept teasing a battle between a psychic and the Ghost Molester. Who is the psychic?
PETER JAMES!!!
Apparently the family requested him after seeing him in past episodes. Which implies that they agreed to go back after the last investigation flopped
“I would say there are about six ghosts in this house...I feel we have a forceful entity who is the mainstay, the ringleader...it wants to gain more control, it wants to maintain control, and my being a fighter, of sorts, with this type of activity...I feel I’ll clean house.”
Alright. Time for the final battle.
He identifies the spirit as a man named Daniel - the name of the home's first owner, it turns out, who was the spookiest thing of all: a cop...
“DANIEL! I AM IN CONTROL HERE! YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE! YOUR ENERGY IS BEGINNING TO WEAKEN, NOW! BEGONE! NOW!”
After his investigation, the spirit activity stops. He won. Most powerful psychic of all time
Our post-show tease: Sightings next; tomorrow, after Cops, get closer to the action than you’d ever want to be with the firefighters on Code Three
I always love to read stories about people being incredibly vindictive and petty.
British crime author Peter James was good friends with novelist Martin Amis at one time. Amis "snubbed" James, so James did what any normal person would do. He named the villain of his next novel "Amis Smallbone"and had multiple characters mocking his tiny penis.
This is purely junior high level stuff, so the fact that a man in his 60s did this is all the more hilarious.
King Charles's wife will be the leading lady in Peter James' high-stakes crime thriller, it has been announced
Queen Camilla is set to star in the forthcoming instalment of Peter James’ bestselling detective series. Having sold 18 million copies worldwide, a similar figure to the numbers who tuned in to watch the Queen ascend the throne with her husband Charles, the Roy Grace series’ 23rd novel will open with a royal train derailment and attempted assassination of a palace aide.
Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, Camilla’s self-professed favourite fictional sleuth, is dispatched to Buckingham Palace to crack the case of what looks to be a royal assassination attempt. The story is said to weave through royal corridors and state rooms in a palace whodunnit laced with enough pomp to make Poirot jealous.
Dreamer by Peter James
This book was written and published in 1989. Pretty damn visionary.
The Duchess of Cornwall visits the set of ITV’s Adaptation of The Roy Grace Series by Peter James, Brighton, 04.11.2021
What a year it’s been! After my father’s death, I ended up staying on at my family’s home for a few weeks to help them sort out their affairs. My dad didn’t leave behind a lot of assets, and didn’t leave anything to my mom. He left the house and most of his finances to Shepherd. Luckily Shepherd had no desire to move back into that house, so he’s left Mom and our younger siblings living in it.
Just a few months ago, our precious youngest (and final!) child, Emily Sharon, was born! I’m so glad Wanda has a little sister to be best friends with!
And now my oldest two are TEENS! Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday Natasha was tearing up remote controllers in the living room and now I have two teenagers on my hands! I made two cakes for them - Nat wanted chocolate, while Peter wanted sugar-free coconut cake. For twins, they couldn’t be more different!
