Peter: “I think the power of words, it can be amplified by a beautiful melody, but you can’t take away from it. It can stand on its own. But it can work the other way with melody. A beautiful melody, I think, can be ruined by terrible words. Although there’s plenty of brilliant bands who I love, like, even the Beatles or Oasis who, some of my favorite songs are songs that,She Loves You, see the lyrics,you know, ‘you think you’ve lost your love, I saw her yesterday’, pretty knave lyrics, but with the melody they are suddenly heightened. So where we’re going with this….they’re together, It’s like a certain chemical reaction happens. It’s like when you mix Port and Brandy, they’re both good on their own, but you mix them together, something really strange happens. Have you ever tried Port and Brandy?”
