Things to look forward to:
Freeheld
Based on the Oscar winning documentary short Freeheld, about the true story of Stacie Andree and her police detective girlfriend Laurel Hester who receive the news that Laurel is terminally ill and the government won't let her assign her pension benefits to Stacie.
Hester will be played by Julianne Moore (yay!) and Andree by Ellen Page (she actually came out publicly a few days after the signing on announcement). If that wasn't great enough, in the director's chair is Peter Sollet, who directed the amazing but virtually unseen Raising Victor Vargas and the less obscure Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.
The story, the casting and the director make this really, really exciting. And please, please let this be Julianne's Oscar winning role. Like, finally!
