There wasn’t a moment of peace in the middle of the afternoon, with people coming and going and court at full capacity just down the hallway, so he assumed that Mark had a lot of other people asking for him, still, he called him and said it was really important that he came to his office. He heard the knock on the door and shouts “Mark, come in, come quickly.” He smiles, moving away from his laptop. It’s a long opening argument and he definitely deserves a break — not that he can take one. He looks down at his watch, mostly for dramatics. “It’s quite late and I noticed you haven’t had lunch yet, right?” he asks, but he already knows the answer. “So I thought we could have a break together.” He says, gesturing towards the brown paper bags of take out he got delivered just a minute ago.
