You kept grumbling to yourself and a thread of little tinkering sounds could be heard as you stomped your feet, complying to Mingi's orders as you paired up with Wendy to look for Tiger Lily.
She was reported to have been abducted while a tribe party was going on and the clues have lead the tribe to believe that it was Captain Hook who took her from their land. The Chief, being enraged and heartbroken, asks help for Mingi to help them find his daughter and have Hook for themselves.
"Stop acting like that and at least help me. I would have much preferred if it was Mingi with me." Wendy scoffed, pushing away the vines and tree branches away from her, but with your small and petite frame, you flew past over them. Quite enjoying yourself to see Wendy struggling.
You would have loved to make a run on with the mermaids at Mermaid Lagoon, though you despise them for being so vile and selfless, you would have loved to see the mermaids try and drown Wendy. Or at least lead her to Hangman's Tree and scare her to death. The ideas inside your little head brought a wicked smile on your lips. Saving them for later.
You heard the sounds of waterfalls falling and crashing down. Looking around, you found numerous hungry crocodiles in one side. Knowing that you and Wendy are in Crocodile Creek, you flew away and flew past a hungry bask of crocodiles that eagerly followed you, flying towards Wendy before pointing behind her.
"What is it now?!" Wendy grumpily asks, watching her turn around and shreek and run for her life, climbing up a tree to save herself while you floated around mid air, laughing at her misfortune brought by you.
"Pixie's like you should have never been born!"
Her words caught you and you felt like fuming up.
"Pixie's like you are evil! I didn't know why Mingi and the boys put up with you!" Wendy shouts as she tries to desperately climb another tree branch as crocodiles try to climb up the bark of the tree.
You could feel your whole body turning red with rage. If Wendy continued to talk down on you like that, you would not hesitate to throw pixie dust at the crocodiles to make them fly and eat her alive.
"You are not a pixie! And I will no longer believe in you!"
All the rage in your body left and all you could feel is sadness washing over you. Dropping your shoulders, you flew off the creek, leaving Wendy to deal with the crocodiles as sadness consumes you.
That night, you didn't come home to Mingi's house and came back to your old home - Pixie Hollow. The pixie's were surprised to see you, wondering why you've gone back - and walking instead of flying.
Due to Wendy's hurtful words earlier, you could no longer produce pixie dust and fly, on top of that, you felt weak.
As you were trying to go back to our little home, you were surprised to see a pair of large feet, looking up, it was Mingi.
"What's wrong, y/n?" Mingi asks
Yo scoffed and turned your back on him, crossing your shoulders over your chest.
"Don't be like that, y/n! The boys and I missed you!"
That brought your little heart to thump inside your chest. But it wasn't enough to bring back your powers.
"Come home, y/n." Mingi spoke softly, lightly brushing his index finger on your hair. "I believe in you."
Slowly, your golden glow starts to light up and your wings slowly fluttering. You turned around to face Mingi with a tint of pink across your cheeks.
"Let's go home now, y/n." Mingi says and flew off together with you.
"I should have known!" Mingi said, pushing away the wood and boulders off of him. "Hook would use a bomb on us since he knew we were here and now has took the boys." Mingi sighed, getting up from the dusty ground and removing the dust off his clothes. "I should have listened to Y/N...Y/N!" Mingi suddenly looked around him. It was dark and no golden light was shining around him.
"Y/N?" He called a little louder. Turning his head left and right to find where you were. But he stopped looking around when he heard a tinkering sound. Turning his head to the direction of the music. "Where are you, y/n?" Mingi called out louder. "Y/N?" Pushing away the block of wood in front of him, he finally found a faint golden light. "Y/N!" Mingi ran forward to you, but was stopped in his tracks when rocks fell down and created a barrier between you and him. But that didn't stop Mingi, big or small, he took the rocks away and threw it behind him, letting a hole fit enough for him to get through. "Y/N...are you alright?" This time his voice sounded softer and sadder, watching your golden glow slowly fading.
"The boys?" Mingi asked, crawling his way to the hole that created. Not minding the rocks that kept hitting his back and the back of his head. "I've gotta save you first!" Mingi continued to crawl his way through you, not wanting your golden glow to die down. "Hold on, y/n! Hold on!" He spoke, sounding desperate.
"Don't you go out, y/n!" Mingi said, his eyes starting to prick as he could feel the tears threatening to fall out of his eyes. "Don't you understand, y/n?" Mingi said, getting closer to you. Lifting up the rocks that fell on top of you. "You mean to me more than anything in this world!" At the exact same time, larger rocks started to fall down and Mingi quickly hovered on your top, using his body to cover you. When it stopped, Mingi turned his head to look at you. There was no more golden glow, no more tinking sounds from you. Instead, you were ice cold, eyes closed and wings down.
"I'm so sorry, y/n...I'm so sorry, y/n..." Mingi continued to repeat the words, his hands gripping on the dirt around him. Behind him, Captain Hook, a terrified looking Mr Smee and a few of his men spotted Mingi's back figure.
"Get him" He ordered.
"Which will it be, Mr Mingi - the pen or the plank?" Captain Hook threateningly asked, one hand holding a white feathered quill and his hook pointing at the wooden plank.
"I will never join your crew" Mingi mumbled, tied up in a wooden pole along with the seven lost boys besides him that are tied up as well.
"You have the decided...the plank" Captain Hook ushered Mingi towards the side of the ship. While the lost boys pleaded Mingi not to do it, Captain Hook noticed that someone was missing.
"You seem to be missing someone....why is y/n not with you?" He asks. At the mention of you, Mingi's jaw tensed and glared at him. "Could it be that you have failed on y/n again?" Captain Hook places a hand on top of his mouth dramatically. "Oh dear, poor y/n. Continously mistreated by you." He shook his head, Mr Smee crying along with him. "And I thought you had an ounce of meaning for her" Captain Hook finished.
But it was true. What Mingi feels for you is much deeper than you would thought of. Mingi didn't mind the dangers that was gonna come for him, but if it meant saving you, he would do so in a heartbeat.
As Mingi's arms and wrists were tied behind him, he was pushed to climb up and slowly walked over to the plank. While Mingi was walking towards the end, he thought of one thing: you. And at the end of the plank, he jumped down. Much to the horror of the lost boys but a pleasure to Hook and his men.
"Captain....no splash?" Mr Smee asked, a confused expression on his face. Captain Hook turned to look at him in rage and horror. "Not a sound" Captain Hook spoke, as he walked over to the side, he looked down at the waters.
"Not one ripple, Captain!"
"The water is calm!"
But on the other side of the ship, Mingi's eyes that were closed slowly opened. Seeing you finally with your golden glow and flying around him painted a smile on his lips. Excited and happy to see you alive, Mingi cupped your cheeks and placed a kiss on your lips before slowly sneaking behind to remove the ropes around the lost boys. Leaving you twirling around, blushing and drunkenly spinning after the kiss.
"How is that possible, Captain? Not a splash?" A crewmate asked besides Captain Hook. Already stressed, Hook turned to him with a smile. "So you want a splash?" He asked him before throwing him off the deck. "There's your splash!" He shouted, turning to face the remaining of his men. "Who's next?"
"You're next!" Mingi called, flying beside the pole. Soon, the lost boys fought off the rest of Captain Hook's men, throwing them off the boat and leaving Captain Hook to Mingi. Floating on top of the waters, you threw an amount of golden glitter down, creating a thread of tinking sounds. Captain Hook didn't know what you were trying to do until the head of the giant octopus popped up, its one eye already staring at him. With a wave of your hand, the giant octopus fell in front of him inside the ship. Slowly but dangerously did it came forward to Captain Hook. Scared as a giant octopus was coming for him, Captain Hook ran to the plank and jumped down, followed by the giant octopus.
