Quick post before I jet off... ✈️ We ended our Europe trip yesterday, and last minute I realized that there’s a Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens. My hubby found it and I sat and sketched for a bit. In life, in this trip, I am both Peter and Wendy...the boy (girl in my case) who doesn’t want to grow up, and the girl who realizes that certain things happen in life only as you grow up, and that’s ok. - We’ve been to Paris, the UK, and Northern Ireland. We’ve met so many amazing people, seen amazing sights, and realized that in these countries stuffed full of history and sights...people life their everyday lives, cities get dirty like ours, and public bathrooms are rarely spotless...or free! 🤪 But it’s amazing. - Like Peter, I want to have fun, seeing all there is to see...like Wendy, I’ve learned so much and I’m okay with going home now. Besides, I miss my kitties 🐱😭 - But I’ll never be the same again. You can watch documentaries, read books, talk to people...but nothing matches experiencing a country for yourself. For me, I’ll never forget some of the things I’ve learned here and the people Ive met and gotten to know, and my stories will subtly reflect that. - Travel if you can. Get a passport, save up, plan, backpack to hostels, do it before you’re locked into a 9-5 job if possible. Anyway, those are my thoughts for now.
