Peter Wolf was the leader of The J. Giles Band, despite the band’s name. This was one of his better-faring solo singles after he left the band in the 80s. Great chorus and the rest is lame by-the-numbers mid-80s white R&B, complete with SNL-style sax solo.

A picture disc 7” from Boston’s third-best band—The J. Giles Band’s “Freeze Frame” b/w “Rage in a Cage.” Both tracks are killers, with the B-side in particular highlighting how the band adapted its good-time rock n roll sound to the herky-jerky rhythms of New Wave with ease.
