Story in Spam's Brilliant Vibrating Interface, 2023.
Photos from the installation and opening of the Stories for Strangers exhibit at CitizenM Glasgow. Thanks to everyone who came out for it, my troops who helped me to install, and to Absurd Realities for arranging it.

It’s my four year anniversary of taking a typewriter into the street and (you know the rest). I forget to feel thankful for what's been achieved sometimes cos I've so many plans in my head. So I made this list of incredible things that have happened in the past twelve months:
Crowd funded £5000 to self publish a new book based on the trust of 167 people
Performed at seven festivals in three countries
Driven my house from Scotland to Portugal, and back, ferrying many wonderful people safely
Made comfortable spaces to call home in 6 countries
Made time to be completely alone for stretches of days
Published 3 new zines
Sold out nearly every copy of every book I've made
Written in the streets of Paris, Lisbon and Berlin
Read my work in public for the first time
Assembled an incredible team to make a new book with me
Started writing three new books
Commenced plans for new style of street writing performance
Made a business plan for the next 18 months
Wore sassy leggings
In the past year I've grown a lot as a person, and a bit as a writer. There's still aaaa lot to do 😉
Thank you to the people who've opened their homes to me, lent their talents to my projects, extended opportunities, paid me for stories, bought books, flicked little social media buttons, emailed me, listened to me, lent me their wisdom, sang with me, smiled when I wasn't sure, taken me for meals and told me I've got this.
As an independent artist my life is afloat on just me and the support for my art by this community of you. Somehow. Incredibly. Thank you. Zero idea what sep 9th 2018 will look like. Right hyped. Here's to year four. 🙏♻️
All You Have is What You Give
The crowdfunding to produce my next book raised 232% of its target. Thanks to each of you who funded Stories for Strangers vol. 2., and the friends who supported me in making the social media campaign.
Time to get off the internet, sit still in the UK and make this encouraging book real ♻️
Production updates as they happen. The book won't be out for a few months yet.

Yo yew
News of writing spontaneous stories for strangers in streets (and fields and beaches and caves).
It's now one year ago that I self-published the first book of
Stories While They Waited
and quit London to move into a van and go full time story writing on the road.
That's been good.
This summer I'll be writing stories at festivals. The schedule is Knockengorroch Festival 25-8th May, FyneFest 2-4th June, Eden Festival 8-11th June, Solas Festival 23-25th June, and Being Gathering 28th June-2nd July.
At the beginning of May, I'll be writing in Paris, probably outside Shakespeare & Co. I'll be in Berlin / London in July and August too. I'll post dates on insta / facebook when I know.
Prance Press
In the past year I've self published four books and made custom patches of the Be Not Unkind to Strangers Lest They Be Angels In Disguise emblem, available at

Now Now Now
"what time is it?" "NOW!" Write now I'm travelling in SW Portugal, where I'm living in the van and writing stories at the beaches and markets for the hippies, surfers, punks, pirates, and urchins that hang out here. A lot of love going around. Magical experiences. Stories are lit. Feeling very fortunate and making a lot a lot of new
C Ya
So all this to say I'm very alive and looking forward to sharing some of life with ya at some Now in the future.
Hope that YOU

The Be Not Unkind To Strangers patch made it to the ends of the earth. There it will live in the carpenter's woodshop, hopefully for years to come. Thx Benzo &&
Granada in my dreams again. Been slow and unsocial for the past month, working on a new book, commissions, a little photo book, my van, and a thousand side projects. Going to be in seclusion a little longer, preparing a big road trip. Hungering to be in the streets again soon, and writing for perfect strangers.
Light to all y'all.
