Petit Records is proud to present a night of rare and exceptional music in a much-loved, intimate East London venue. Dukes House in Aldgate has already played host to influential artists such as Moodymann, Marshall Jefferson and Jamie Jones, and now refitted with a Funktion-One rig, Petit is taking over, showcasing some of the most exciting artists of 2012. El_Txef_A is 25-year-old Aitor Etxebarria from Bilbao, Spain. As a producer Aitor sparingly measures his output, always searching for the new, aiming for the highest quality rather than a monotonous slew of releases. After years of dedicated work and a string of releases on leading labels such as Suol, Hypercolour and his own Fiakun imprint, Aitor has released his debut album "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room", a bravely melancholic and heart-wrenchingly ambitious album exploring a blend of deep house, disco, and avant-pop, in which he cites James Taylor, Dolly Parton, A$AP Rocky and John Mayer as significant influences.

While his complex and unique sounds are like restrained sonnets, his primary goal is always to make music people can identify with as well as simply enjoy. His DJ sets are rich with soulful bass grooves, floating melodies and affecting vocals. Pure dancefloor delight awaits...

His heavy productions evolved after he moved to Berlin in 2011 with a style suitably described as Keta-Disco. He is already a familiar name thanks to his tremendously popular podcasts, re-edits and tight productions. His Grizzlynation parties in his native Berlin, have played host to the likes of !k7’s Richard Davis, Tevo Howard and NU, while his mixes are always awash with musical treasures. We invited Grizzly to mix a special radio show for us, which has already set pulses racing... “A language of the body, of sound, movement, a language of dance. Eschewing packaged loops and cold plug-ins, Rob’s originality stems from his innate musicality. Twisting and layering anything from a thumb piano to a live field recording of a dental visit, churning them in to a hypnotic techno rhythm or trippy house algorithm, we can confidently say there is no one else quite like him.
